Our generation, which the Rebbe King Moshiach termed the generation of liberation, is witnessing significant upheavals in governmental institutions and even the collapse of state structures worldwide.

These phenomena began manifesting about half a century ago with events in Eastern Europe, leading to the downfall of most communist regimes and revolutions in numerous countries. Subsequently, this instability spread to the Middle East, where numerous totalitarian regimes collapsed one after another.

Recent events indicate that instability is affecting other, previously prosperous parts of the world. For instance, the United States and the United Kingdom have experienced serious political upheavals in recent years. In the United Kingdom, the frequency of prime ministerial changes has become dizzying, while in France, the prime minister resigned after only three months in office.

In France, the situation remains tense: societal demands are growing for President Macron to voluntarily step down, although he clearly has no intention of doing so. Therefore, France is likely to continue in a state of political instability until the elections, which are scheduled to take place in seven months.

Meanwhile, Georgia has found itself at the epicentre of mass public protests. Huge demonstrations, supported by the country's president, oppose the government. The prime minister, for his part, made a sharp statement, promising to destroy the opposition. The crisis stems from the majority of citizens demanding accession to the European Union, while the head of government actively opposes this, preferring to maintain Russian influence in Georgia.

In Asia, even South Korea — a relatively wealthy and liberal country — is far from stable. The defence minister has resigned, and the president is accused of violating national security after attempting to establish a military regime. In turn, the president claims he was trying to save the country from an attempted communist coup.

Instability is also sweeping the Middle East, particularly Syria, where the remnants of statehood continue to crumble. The armed forces suffer one defeat after another and incur significant losses, while rebels seize more territories, including villages, cities, and military bases.

And what about Israel? Recently, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a statement almost directly expressing what most of society feels — that the security structures, intertwined with the deep state, are effectively attempting a coup.

From our perspective, this global instability indicates one thing: we are on the threshold of Liberation. We believe that every good deed, every prayer, and every act of kindness can hasten the arrival of this long-awaited Liberation.
