I express my sincere condolences to the people of Israel and wish a speedy recovery to all the wounded and injured. Please study selections from the holy letters of the Lubavitcher Rebbe SHLITA, King Moshiach in order to strengthen your connection with the Almighty.
Now it is particularly important to focus on the statement of the blessed sages of Torah, Rebbe Rayatz and Rebbe SHLITA King Moshiach, that our physical world hides the highest levels of true goodness and mercy of the Creator (in the Holy Tongue, the very word for “world” (Olam) is related to the word for “obscurity” (He’elem)).
Therefore, one should push away negative thoughts, and especially fears or sadness, which could be mistakenly associated with the consequences of tragic events. There is no doubt that such thoughts are the clear signs of “the other side” (sitra achra), which is now, at this very moment of the coming of full and true Redemption and the revelation of the Lubavitcher Rebbe Shlita King Moshiach right now, trying to terrify, intimidate Jews and convince Jews to be dispassionate about the commandments and the study of Torah.
And this is more than evident right now, as Jews recall their true purpose, become increasingly firm in the Torah, the source of life, and take an active part in supporting and educating other jews. It is only the “other side” that can propose the thoughts that may be contrary to the truth, which is the Rebbe’s message: “The Land of Israel is the safest place in the world, and that no one should leave it.”
Please think about the fact that one of the largest Jewish immigrations to Israel is now in progress (over 8,000 new immigrants, about 75% of the immigrants from Ukraine), the roots of which are deeply embedded in the pure and blessed desire of the Jewish consciousness, belonging to the Holy Land and the Rebbe responds to it this way: “Stay in the Holy Land, upon which are the eyes of G‑d, your L-rd, from the beginning of the year until the end of the year”.
The Rebbe brings relief and strength to the Jews with such words (see Igrot Kodesh vol. 12, p. 413):
It is clear to me, however, that this is explained according to one of the basic ideas of the teachings of Baal-Shem-Tov, that all phenomena in the world, even the most insignificant ones, are happening under the personal control of the Almighty. This is especially true when it comes to things that affect the interests of many people.
The Rebbe asks the Jews to listen to the holy Jewish soul and its desires:
Only according to the general behavior in the world, when every Jew is given the freedom to choose, and G-d tests him to find out whether he loves G-d, etc., whether he keeps the commandments, whether he listens to His will, etc., then also in this a choice is given to each of the rich people. And as it is said, “See, I have set before you today life and good, etc.,” to fulfill them as a means of implementing one’s choice, as it is said at the end, “Therefore, choose life” or, G-d forbid, the opposite. Obviously, if this applies to rich people who have a lot of gold and silver, then even more so to people blessed with the abilities to affect their nearest and furthest surroundings. And it is also clear that since there is the One who rules this place, our world, and He doesn’t have a single useless thing, a person is obligated to use his wealth in an proactive and positive way. Moreover, it is not enough that this wealth is not used for bad purposes. In fact, his non-usage also interferes with the order of the world, since the idea is that all of his components should aid in an effective way towards a common and unified purpose.
Furthermore, he explains that the immediate revelation of the Rebe right now and the coming of the full and true Redemption, which depends on the desire and requests to G-d from all Jews should provide many explanations for events that we could not understand:
From the very day I went to “cheder” [at the age of about three], and even earlier, in my vision started to shape a picture of the future Redemption of the Jewish people from their final exile. This would take place in such a way that through it, it would become clear why we had suffered tortures in exile, were persecuted and massacred. And as part of this bright future and as part of the Redemption, will become “the head is the king; but not the head of the tribe, but the one above whom there is no one but the Almighty.” And everything will happen in such a way that from a pure heart and with full understanding people will say on that day, “I will thank You, O Lord, for You were wroth with me.
Please strengthen the connection with the Almighty even further. As the Rebbe says:
Though at this time many nations with the most advanced culture, who rule the world, etc. have disappeared without any hope of rebirth, and the Jewish people fall and rise — because of their connection with the Creator and the World Leader — who says, “For I, the Lord, have not changed; and you, the sons of Jacob, have not reached the end.” And if during many periods of history there has been a need to gather all the strength of the Jewish people to guard and protect the Torah and the commandments — the foundation of the Jewish people’s existence — then is this less relevant in our time, when the foundations of the world are shaking, in a time of collapse and challenges, the greatest challenges for the Jewish people? And the rich according to their talents and capabilities, which also includes the greatest responsibility, are charged with the holy duty and merit to make full use of these capabilities to protect the things that are holy to the Jewish people — our eternal Torah and Mitzvos. And especially in the king’s palace, the land upon which are the eyes of G‑d, your L-rd, from the beginning of the year until the end of the year. And since you have been entrusted with this work, surely all the things required to perform this task to the fullest have been given beforehand, only G-d wishes it to be on the basis of choice — “Therefore, choose life.”
I wish that the Lubavitcher Rebbe SHLITA King Moshiach may be revealed as soon as possible, right now and that the full and true Redemption will come! Please grow in your Torah study and fulfillment of the commandments. Thank you.
