On Friday afternoon (10 Tevet), the IDF launched a powerful strike against the Houthi forces in Yemen. This attack was the first to be conducted in coordination with simultaneous strikes by the USA and the United Kingdom. Although previous strikes had also been coordinated with these nations, yesterday’s attack marked the first time that Israel organised an operation jointly with the two Anglo-Saxon powers.
The USA and the United Kingdom focused on a specific area of Yemen, reportedly destroying 12 significant targets. In recent operations, they have begun targeting underground facilities using specialised weaponry.
Israel, for its part, carried out a major strike involving 20 Air Force aircraft, which launched dozens of precision-guided munitions, destroying a number of critical Houthi targets.
In two of the main Houthi-controlled ports, which are central to their economy, tugboats, fuel tanks, transfer stations, gas and oil terminals, tankers, and storage facilities were targeted and attacked once again.
At the Haziz power plant, located south of Sana’a (the capital of the Houthi-controlled area of Yemen), critical components were struck. According to estimates, it will take several months to restore operations at the facility.
Additionally, fighter jets successfully identified and destroyed a ballistic missile that was seconds away from being launched towards Israel.
One of the targets that was struck was located just a few hundred metres from a massive anti-Israel Houthi rally, which was intended to be another demonstration of their support for Hamas. The strike by Israeli jets near the rally caused widespread panic among tens of thousands of Houthis gathered in protest against Israel. Instead of demonstrating support for Hamas, the rally became a testament to the might of Israel.
However, the military campaign against the Houthis is far from over. In Israel, preparations are underway for a much larger operation, which will likely be conducted jointly with the US military after the inauguration of Donald Trump.
An interesting prophecy from Zechariah (9:14) states: „And the Lord shall appear over them, and His arrow shall go forth like lightning; and the Lord G-d will sound the shofar and advance in the storms of the south.“ In the original Hebrew, the word teiman is used, which means both „south“ and „Yemen.“ This prophecy refers to the Redemption!
