It happened on Friday evening, February 25, 2006. Oren Raz and his wife had come from the settlement of Itamar (Israel) to “770” to celebrate the 10th of Shvat, the day when the Rebbe began leading the Lubavitch movement 56 years earlier.
Oren had only recently “returned” to Judaism under the influence of the Rebbe’s emissaries in India, and even had already visited the Rebbe once.
The evening prayer ended, the hasidim began to dance. Oren stood near the steps and began to sing along with everyone “Yehi Adoneinu”.
Suddenly he saw the Rebbe standing on a dais with prayer books in his hand. The Rebbe looked exactly like in the famous photo from the Lag BaOmer parade. The Rebbe began to walk down the steps quite quickly. For a few seconds, Oren looked to the side to determine if there was a passage, since there were so many people around. After that, he no longer saw the Rebbe...
The dancing ended, but Oren stood there, shocked. His friend Dan Ben Hur came up and asked, “Did you see him?”
“Who, the Rebbe?” Oren asked immediately. “Did you see him too?”
“I meant Rav Doron from India, who is here on Shabbat. And did you see the Rebbe?”
“Yes, yes,” Oren replied. “I was honored to see the Rebbe just a minute ago!”
Oren says that after this event, he became firmly convinced that the Rebbe King Moshiach is with us and is ready to bring the Redemption at any moment.
