The US elections have once again divided opinions among Jews and non-Jews. Most religious Jews support Donald Trump, but there’s also a group backing Kamala Harris — and they’re observant too.
This isn’t good. We shouldn’t be fighting over political figures that God will put in charge of the United States anyway.
Trump’s core supporters are Christian fundamentalist evangelicals. He recently told them these would be the last elections. That’s pretty confusing...
Right-wing Israelis have always seen American Christian fundamentalists as allies. But we shouldn’t fool ourselves about these American evangelicals. They don’t support Israel because they love Jews. They need Israel to exist so their end-of-the-world predictions can come true.
These “White Anglo-Saxon Protestants” still think they’re God’s new chosen people. They imagine the Middle East reduced to nuclear ashes. For them, Israel is just a tool to achieve their misguided religious goals. Sure, they’ve been on the Jews’ side for now, probably since Oliver Cromwell’s time in England. They’re helping Israel at the moment. But we can’t kid ourselves.
Now here’s a question: why isn’t the Noahide movement popular in the US instead of evangelism? Why isn’t anyone really working on this? Where’s all the promotion?
The Rebbe told us long ago to spread the 7 Noahide laws. People aren’t trying hard enough, and they don’t really want to do it either.
I think this whole situation is a huge spiritual and strategic failure.
