Today, for nearly a full day, Hamas terrorists managed to hold positions in seven Israeli population centers! Some of them were liberated quickly, it took hours to dislodge the enemies from others, and as we wrote earlier, at least in two places the fighting is still going on.
The terrorists have managed to inflict considerable harm on civilians, as well as kidnap civilians and soldiers. Only by the grace of G-d, in all these cities and towns, the death toll, G-d forbid, has not become even higher.
It is reported that an entire family was kidnapped to the Gaza Strip and many more civilians and soldiers. Hamas claims at least 35 Israelis, but there are also reports of even more. At the moment, the situation is not clear, even among the leadership of our army. At the same time, it is clear that there could be fake news, so I do not think it is right to publish these numbers.
In addition, there are still hostages who are still in two places inside Israel, in a building in the town of Ofakim and in Kibbutz Be’eri.
Both locations are currently surrounded by security forces and IDF army special forces. My assessment is that negotiations are underway with the terrorists.
