Biden promised, “We will transfer 100 million dollars to Gaza and the West Bank [that’s how Israel’s enemies call Judea and Samaria in an attempt to hide their connection with the Jewish people]!”
Which one is this — foolishness or still meanness? It is clear that Hamas controls every dollar, every gram of “humanitarian aid” that enters the Gaza Strip.
To make matters worse, immediately after Biden’s visit ended, Prime Minister Netanyahu’s office released the following statement:
In view of the extensive and vital U. S. support for our military action, and also in view of President Biden’s demand for basic humanitarian aid, the inner cabinet of ministers unanimously decided:
1. Israel will not allow any humanitarian aid from its territory into the Gaza Strip until our captives are returned.
[My comment — it is clear from this phrase that Israel was forced to accept shipments to Gaza through the Egyptian Rafah checkpoint].
2. Israel demands that the Red Cross visit our captives, and is working to mobilize broad international support for this demand.
[My comment is that this is an important demand, but there is no guarantee, even from the U. S., that it will be accepted. The fate of Jews held captive by evil-doers is of concern only to us and no one else in this world].
3. In view of President Biden’s demand, Israel will not prevent the delivery of humanitarian aid from Egypt as long as it is only food, water and medicine for civilians located in the southern Gaza Strip or traveling there, and as long as it does not go to Hamas. Any supplies going to Hamas will be stopped.
[My comment — to make a long story short, Egyptian aid will come in. And there is no doubt that it will flow in huge quantities. And obviously it will go through the south of the Gaza Strip, but how will it be prevented from flowing into the center and north of the Gaza Strip?
Clearly, that’s exactly what will happen. It will be moved there in every possible way, and Israel will not be able to prevent it. And, unfortunately, there is no doubt that much of it will go to Hamas, which will send “civilians” in civilian clothes to get it so they can’t be caught, and maybe even terorists in uniform. After all, who can stop them.
Biden’s demand that we should accept supplying Hamas and the same murderous cannibals who went behind the terrorists to kill, rape, burn and rob Jewish towns and cities shows either the incredible naivete of the U. S. administration or its even more incredible hypocrisy and meanness toward Jews, especially those who are now captives in the hands of these torturers and murderers.
The Israeli government is forced to accept this, because amid the threat of a two-front war, even if only declaratory US support for our war effort is critical. So we are forced to make concessions to Biden, but the very fact that these dishonorable demands condition U. S. support speaks for itself — once again, as in the Shoah — the blood and suffering of Jews are not touching foreigners, who are only using our pain to their own advantage].
“Hizbullah threatened a “Day of Rage” but, by the grace of G-d, there were no noticeable results of this “rage”. The IDF attacked from the air and destroyed a squad firing mortars at Israel. Also, an IDF tank attacked and destroyed a couple of positions from which an attempt to launch an anti-tank missile was reported. “Hizbullah reports three dead militants and four additional wounded as a result of these IDF attacks. In Israel, a man was moderately wounded by gunfire from Lebanon. Rockets were fired at Kiryat Shmona and anti-tank missiles were fired at the Manara neighborhood and the Rosh al-Nikra neighborhood. Saudi Arabia urged its citizens to leave Lebanon. Gantz said today that, “The war in the south, and possibly in the north, will take months.”
Now that the American president has departed, the offensive in the south is likely to be in full force and will be carried out in the coming days. It is clear that the exact timeline will be kept secret by the army commanders for as long as possible.
Biden stated that “Israel remains the safest place for Jews, I assure you that we will make sure the world knows that.”
[This is indeed true, and we know it without his statements. Even despite the horrific tragedy on the holiday of Simchat Torah, Israel remains the safest place for Jews].
